3 Things Women Founders can do Pre-Seed to Increase Their Chances of Raising VC Funds

If you read my last article, ‘Where are all the Women Founders? A Closer Look at the Startup World Gender Gap, you saw the startling statistics about gender inequality in the venture capital ecosystem and just how much the odds are stacked against women founders, especially in their earliest stage.

However, if you’re a woman founder, here are 3 tactical things you can do to increase your chances of getting funded:

1. Take a fundraising class

Learn the language and mechanics of raising money by taking the virtual Fundraising 101 class by Class Rebel. In it, you’ll learn things like how to find the right investors, what makes a good pitch deck, and how to navigate technical conversations to keep as much equity and control of your company as possible. The intensive class is 2hrs/day for 4 days and costs only $99 (seriously, that’s it) and they have a “pay once, attend forever” methodology…so you have access to your live class recording, other class recordings, the community, and class materials for as long as you need after your live sessions end. The amount of knowledge, resources, and confidence you’ll gain from Class Rebel is priceless. (I know because I was a student.)
